2010 Camp Dates

Mark Your Calendars!  Jr & Sr. High Camp dates this year are August 14th - 21st.  Hope you  all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Camp Office Phone Number

As soon as camp is in session starting Saturday morning the camp office number will be monitored if you need to get ahold of one of the camp staff or pass along a message to you child.  That number is 207-443-5860.  Prior to Saturday or in the event you can't reach someone on the camp office line you can reach one of the Directors at the cell phone # listed at the bottom of page 2 of the information packet handed out and available here on our site.

Remember that we strongly discourage campers from bringing their cell phones to camp and if a camper is found to be using one for any purpose other than a alarm clock it will be confiscated for the week, please do not be the reason that your camper no longer can wake up on time.  Contact the camp office if you need to get ahold of your camper and we will have them call you in a timely manner that does not disrupt our program.

Camper Contact / Directions

We're in the final streach here and many of the support staff will be heading down to Chop Point tomorrow and the day after.  A few final notes:

DIRECTIONS: FROM BATH, MAINE TO CHOP POINT (starting on US #1 north)
1. Cross the Bath bridge (on US 1 north) into Woolwich, drive a short distance before turning left onto Rt.
127. The turn is next to and before the Cumberland Farms store on US 1.
2. Travel north on Rt. 127 for two miles and take a left onto Rt. 128. This is a very narrow and twisted
road with many blind spots. GO SLOW.
3. Travel north on Rt. 128 for 5.2 miles, after the small white Woolwich church the road rises and curves
right. Take a sharp left at the Chop Point sign onto the dirt road. Deerwander is located at the end of the
road - app. 2 miles. Do not drive beyond the Lodge.

If you get turned around you can call the camp office at 207-443-5860 or 207-570-9255.

CAMPER CARE PACKAGES/LETTERS:

Campers LOVE to get packages and letters while at camp.  When sending letters please be mindful of travel time.  We typically do not reccomend sending items after Thursday of camp if you are in state and Tuesday if from out of state, this will insure you package arrives while your camper is still at camp.  The address is as follows:

Camper Name
Deerwander Bible Conference
c/o Chop Point Camp
420 Chop Point Road
Woolwich, ME 04579
